Description
Hungarian Magyar Matyo Folk Embroidery Detail - Original Fine Art Photographic Print
Embroidery is chic, current and it's everywhere. How about as a wall hanging to make a dramatic statement?
Can't hang an original embroidery on your wall? The photographic version shows all the lush details, fine needlework, brilliant rich colors of the original hand embroidery - and at an affordable price!
The original item is the border of an apron which is part of a private collection of museum quality Hungarian embroidery. The extremely rich colors and dense embroidery are typical of the embroidery of this region in Northern Hungary and dates back to the late 1800's.
Hand embroidered items of this quality are no longer made in Hungary and reproductions of these late 19th and early 20th century works would be very pricey.
But a great photograph is a perfect way to bring this rare item into your home to glam up your space.

Hi, Constance! How nice of you to say - I was only the one to snap the photo, and I, too, a in awe of the people who created these!
