Description
His name is Pal. He is my neighbor, and I absolutely adore him. He is a Cairn Terrier and is living proof of why this breed has been called "the best little pal in the world." He is intelligent and adventurous, a spunky little character, always ready to play. But above all, I admire his spirit, his independence. Never needy, never begs, never anything but pure happiness, he visits me whenever the mood strikes him. As I rarely feed him, I know he comes for the play and the massages, and I also know that we have a truly special bond.
Recently, he showed up with a large piece of what I thought was a dead animal (eek!) and tried to give it to me in my kitchen - twice. I'm sure I confused him by not taking his offering and escorted him outside. It turns out, he managed to grab the family's pot roast and made a bee-line with it straight to me. His amazing touching gesture just melts my heart. I am so very honored to be loved by this remarkable little being.
